Office Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Offices of the City Manager, City Secretary, the Tax Office, the
Municipal Court, the Finance Office, Utility Billing, Community
Development (all building permits may be obtained at this office),
City Council Chamber, Sachse EDC and Fire Chief's office.
The City of Sachse operates under the Council-Manager form of
government as adopted by the City Charter in 1986. The City
Council is comprised of the mayor and six (6) council members,
each for three-year terms by place (not district). The City
Council is elected to make determinations of all matters of policy
for the City. The City Manager is
appointed by the City Council to administer these policies. The
City Manager is the chief administrative and executive officer of
the City and is responsible to the City Council for the overall
operation of the City and its employees.
Qualified voters of the City of Sachse elect the mayor and the
council members. A qualified voter must be 18 years of age and
registered to vote thirty (30) days preceding any election. Voter
registration cards are available at City Hall, the Dallas and
Collin County Courthouses, the Sachse Library and the Sachse
Chamber of Commerce. Council meetings
are the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m. An
agenda for each meeting is posted at City Hall seventytwo (72)
hours before each meeting. Citizens are encouraged to attend any
and all meetings.

Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission was established to promote
pubic health, safety, or general welfare and to protect and
preserve places and areas of historical, cultural or architectural
importance and significance. This commission makes recommendations
to the City Council on issues of zoning, platting, land use,
thoroughfares and other related matters. The
Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the second and fourth
Mondays of each month at City Hall at 7 p.m.
Board of Adjustment
The board of Adjustment was established and given authority to
make exceptions to the terms of the zoning ordinances in the City
of Sachse in harmony with zoning’s general purpose and rules. The
board grants variances to the zoning ordinances in the best
interest of the general public. The Board of Adjustment meets on
the third Thursday of each month when there is a case to be heard.
The meetings are conducted at City Hall at 7:30 p.m.
Parks & Recreation Commission
The Parks and Recreation Commission was established to act as an
advisory board to the City Council in all matters pertaining to
parks and recreation in the City of Sachse. This commission
studies the park and recreation system of the city and advises
council on issues pertaining to present and future maintenance,
operation, planning, acquisition, development, enlargement and use
policies of the city park system. The Parks and Recreation
commission meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at
City Hall.
Library Board
The Library Board was established to act as an advisory board to
the city Council in matters concerning the establishment and use
of the city library, the manner in which the library service may
be coordinated with matters. This board meets quarterly on the
second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Sachse Library.
The City Council encourages the participation of all Sachse
citizens to serve on boards, commissions and other committees
